PAT Testing in Leamington Spa
We cover Royal Leamington Spa and the wider south Warwickshire area.
PAT testing for Leamington Spa businesses
Leamington has the densest concentration of office work in our area. The town is well known as a games and digital cluster, and those studios are unusually equipment-heavy for their headcount: workstations, monitors, docks, test hardware, chargers and a lot of extension leads and multi-way adaptors under desks. Many businesses here also occupy converted Regency townhouses rather than purpose-built offices, which tends to mean fewer sockets, more daisy-chained leads and more items worth checking. Larger sites like these usually move past the flat price into our per-item rate.
Typical customers here are digital and games studios, professional offices, salons, restaurants and retail. If your postcode is in CV31, CV32 and CV33, you are inside our normal coverage area and there is no travel charge.
What a Leamington Spa test costs
Our price is based on the number of items, not your postcode. As a worked example, a 120-item studio office in Leamington Spa comes to £106, all in. That covers travel, a pass or fail label on every item, minor repairs on the spot and your certificate. Parts such as replacement plugs and fuses are charged separately, and we are not VAT registered so there is nothing to add on top.

Can you test a Leamington office without disrupting work?
Yes. We work around desks a few at a time rather than shutting anything down, and for larger offices we can test in the evening at an agreed out-of-hours rate.
How much does PAT testing cost?
Our pricing is fixed and all-inclusive: £50 for up to 50 items. For larger jobs it's £50 for the first 50 items, then 80p per item up to 200, and 70p per item beyond that.
Every price includes travel, pass/fail stickers on every item, minor repairs carried out on the spot, and a PDF certificate. Any parts we fit, such as new plugs or fuses, are charged separately. There are no call-out fees, and nothing else added on the day. We're not VAT registered, so there's no VAT on top. (Prices shown are a starting guide; confirm your job when you book.)
How often should appliances be PAT tested?
There is no fixed legal interval. The right frequency depends on the type of equipment and the environment it's used in. Higher-risk items that get moved around, like power tools, extension leads and kettles, are tested more often than low-risk, stationary equipment such as a desktop monitor.
As a rough guide, many offices and shops test annually, while construction and hire equipment may be tested every few months. We'll advise the right interval for your premises when we visit, so you're not paying to test things more often than you need.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes. We hold the City & Guilds 2377-77 award in in-service inspection and testing, carry £5m public liability insurance, and use calibrated test equipment in line with the IET Code of Practice. You'll get a documented, compliant certificate you can show to your insurer or letting agent.
